All the turning points in world history will be written in the history paper
1) Industrial Revolution: It occurred in 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. This was the period Machine was born. It changed the method of hand production to machine. Production started by using more natural energy like steam, water power and machine tools instead of human energy. It is because of the industrial revolution that I'm writing this article and you're reading it. Advancement of technology started because of the industrial revolution.
2) World War: The two world wars, i.e. World War I (1914 to 1918) and World War II (1939 to 1945), brought major turning point in world history. It's because of these world wars the advancement in the weapon started and today we have weapons that can destroy the world. For the defense of the country deadliest weapon is invented today.
Those are just two events out of many that teach 'why is history important, turning points in world history' is the reason how the world is today.
